COPIES OF POLICE REPORTS and traffic accident reports can be requested by coming to business office and filling out a report request form and presenting a photo ID. Before a report will be released all requests must be reviewed. If the report is releasable a fee of $12.00 will be charged for each report.  Per Gov. Code 6253 ( c ) – release of police reports must be released or denied within 10 days.

FINGERPRINTS HARD COPIES are done during business hours on Thursday and Friday only. A photo ID must be presented.  A fee of $10.00 for the first card will be charged. If additional cards are requested an additional fee of $5.00 will be charged for each card.

LIVE SCANS are done by appointment only. Please call (559) 846-6634 to arrange an appointment. These are done on Tuesday s and Friday s. Our fee (Rolling Fee) is $20.00. Depending on the level of service requested the fees will very. All applications must be filled out completely by each applicant and a photo ID must be shown at the time of your appointment.

RECORDS CHECK can be done anytime during business hours. A records check form must be filled out and a photo ID presented. A fee of $15.00 will be charged for this service. This check is only for Kerman PD jurisdiction.

REPOSSESSED VEHICLE RELEASE can be done anytime during regular business hours. The registered owner of the vehicle should bring in the license number of the vehicle to help locate the repossession in the system. A fee of $15.00 will be charged for the release.

VIN VERIFICATION can be done during regular business hours. A vin verification can only be done using a DMV form #343. This can be obtained by from DMV or this department. The vehicle being checked should be brought down to the police department if possible. A fee of $5.00 will be charged for this service.

CITATION SIGN OFF'S. This service is for any correctable citation issued by any California Law enforcement agency. You must present your citation during regular business hours. (Note: If you have lost your citation then you must go to the Fresno traffic court located at 1100 Van Ness Ave. to obtain a certified copy.) A fee of $5.00 will be charged for this service.

VEHICLE RELEASE's. A vehicle release is for any vehicle that has be towed by our department only. WE ONLY ACCEPT MONEY ORDERS FOR VEHICLE RELEASES. If a vehicle was towed because of expired registration or driver was arrested with valid driver license. A fee of $60.00 is required for the release. If a vehicle was towed by our department because, a driver had no license or a suspended or revoked license. A fee of $75.00 is required for the release. If a vehicle was towed by our department because, the driver was driving under the influence (DUI’s). A fee of $125.00 will be required for a release.
